This is a full-time position with the Franklin County Circuit Clerk’s office – Monday thru Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. located in Benton, Illinois.
Job Summary:
– Assists all staff members when needed.
– Research recorded court cases per a customer’s request
-File court cases
– Answer the phone and wait on the counter in a polite and professional manner
-Work in an environment that is sometimes stressful and fast-paced.
Responsibilities and Duties:
-Work well and in cooperation with others.
-Possess the ability to multi-task and handle a variety of duties.
Qualifications and Skills:
– A valid Driver’s License is required.
– Requires sufficient keyboard experience to successfully perform essential job duties.
– Ability to communicate face-to-face with people at the counter and on the telephone.
– Administrative experience preferred.
In addition to the following, this position would require, progressively responsible experience in court database management and technology, including operations in complex computer systems and data input. Must possess the functional skills necessary for the performance, maintenance and system improvements involved in all aspects of the Circuit Clerk’s office. Must possess the ability to work with the public in stressful situations with civility, professionalism, and courtesy.
A required adherence to all County policies and procedures.
Serving in each capacity within the office as assigned.
Starting Pay is $18.22 hourly plus benefits. All Circuit Clerk employees (including this position) will receive a pay increase on December 1, 2026.
