Testing of local warning systems, including outdoor warning sirens, will occur at 10:00 AM in accordance with Illinois State Statute. This is severe weather preparedness week! Practice your plan by participating in the statewide tornado drill at 10:00 AM.![]()

Some communities have the ability to conduct silent testing. As a result, an audible test of outdoor warning sirens may not occur, especially during inclement weather. This monthly test is an excellent opportunity to ensure you have multiple ways to receive emergency alerts from the National Weather Service and local officials. ![]()

A Burn Ban has been issued for Franklin County due to an elevated fire danger. Residents are asked to refrain from open burning until further notice. Please check with your local Fire Department concerning special exceptions, restrictions and enforcement. This order does not apply to State or Federal properties.
