Methamphetamine / MDMA Arrest: ![]()

On the evening of July 18th at approximately 7:50 pm Deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 149 near I-57. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle was identified as Patrick R. McFadden (42) of Texarkana, TX. During the stop it was determined that McFadden's driving privileges were revoked and he was also wanted out of the State of Indiana for Methamphetamine Possession. McFadden was soon taken into custody, and incident to arrest, his vehicle was searched. During the search, Deputies located items of drug paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine. Numerous pills were also located within the vehicle that were identified by McFadden as being MDMA (Ecstasy).![]()

Patrick McFadden was transported to the Franklin County Jail and turned over to jail staff for processing. He was charged with (2) traffic offenses, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 3 Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor). He is also being held for the State of Indiana in relation to the outstanding arrest warrant.![]()

This morning the Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip via the mobile app alerting of a scam. The sender advised that a black Cadillac arrived at their residence and a subject informed them that they were collecting donations for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. We were not provided with any further information and have only received this single report. If this in fact occurred, it is a scam and we urge anyone that has contact with this person(s) to contact the Sheriff's Office immediately. ![]()
