The Rend Lake Conservancy District is hosting the 4th of July Celebration this weekend! Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. on Friday, July 3 at the Rend Lake Golf Complex.![]()

🚗Starting at NOON on July 3, Golf Course Drive will be restricted to Golf Complex visitors, Gun Creek campers, and their guests. Expect heavier-than-normal traffic in the evening. Visitors to the campgrounds MUST know campsite number and last name on the reservation to enter.![]()

🚗Traffic leaving the fireworks event will only be able to go north on Larry Foster Pkwy to Illinois HWY 154.

Applicants for the entry level correctional officer positions must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, be 21 years of age, and have no felony convictions. Applicants for lateral positions must be employed by a law enforcement agency within Illinois as a full time correctional officer for at least two years, be currently certified by the Illinois Training and Standards Board, and in good standing with your current agency.![]()
