Gary A. Little
Gary A. Little is the appointed Deputy Director of Emergency Management for the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency. As Deputy Director of Emergency Management, Mr. Little is second in command of all agency administrative and operational functions. The Deputy Director of Emergency Management works within the Office of the Director and provides direct supervision to the Chief of Staff and the agency’s three Bureaus. The Deputy Director assists the Director of Emergency Management as required.
Mr. Little has served in various capacities in emergency services and holds accreditation from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and Illinois Emergency Services Management Association as an Illinois Professional Emergency Manager (IPEM) as well as Professional Development Series certifications from IEMA and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Mr. Little’s background also includes service as Firefighter / Paramedic for the City of West Frankfort, Deputy Coroner for the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and other various law enforcement and telecommunications positions. Gary is a life long resident of Franklin County and currently resides in West Frankfort with his wife Mandy, daughters Savanna and Chloe and four-legged adopted son Thor.
