Job Opening: Resident Engineer
Franklin County Highway is looking for a full-time engineer to assist County Engineer. Duties include roadway design, construction layout and inspection including bridge and asphalt resurfacing projects as well as preparation of pay estimates and material inspection. Also, inspection of existing bridges and preparation of bridge inspection reports. Should have knowledge of surveying, Autodesk/Autocad and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe. Should be able to work with contractors and utility companies. Should be familiar with IDOT specifications. Will also assist with utility permits and floodplain administration. Job also requires having a valid Illinois Vehicle License, and Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000 based on experience.

Experience level: 5+ years preferred, Driver’s License, Degree in Civil Engineering
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00-3:30 with possible overtime
