Position Overview:

The Franklin County Public Defender’s Office is seeking a full-time Assistant Public Defender to provide high-quality legal representation to indigent clients in criminal and juvenile cases. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated advocate with strong courtroom skills, a commitment to constitutional rights, and a passion for public service.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary of $85,000.
• Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid leave, and retirement participation through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
